Four Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal cross country runners qualified for the State B race with the performance at the Region 2B meet on Wednesday, October 12th, in Howard.
Ella Heinitz and Christina Vogel qualified from the girls team, and Connor Libis and Jacob Vogel qualified from the boys team. The State B meet will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, in Huron.
As a team, the girls finished with a score of 52 points and finished fifth. Gayville-Volin won the girls team title with 12 points. Canistota was second with 35 points, and De Smet was third with 39 points. The boys team finished sixth with 50 points. Oldham-Ramona/Rutland placed first with 23 points. Viborg-Hurley was second with 29 points, and Elkton-Lake Benton was third with 36 points.
