The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal Cross Country team ran in the Dakota Valley Conference meet on Wednesday, October 4th, in De Smet. The Cardinal boys team finished 2nd with a total of 25 points. Oldham-Ramona/Rutland placed first as a team with 24 points.
Five runners for the Cardinals placed in the top 20. Connor Libis placed 3rd. Jacob Vogel was right behind in 4th place. Thomas Eining placed 18th. Ella Heinitz placed 4th for the girls. Catherine Vogel finished 18th. Other runners on the day were Ryan Eining (21st), Seth Roemen (23rd), and Sam Palmer (33rd). Ella Griffin placed 3rd in the girls JV race.
St Mary will run in the regional meet on Wednesday, October 11th, at the Irene Golf Course.
