Twenty-seven wrestlers from the Dell Rapids Youth Wrestling program participated in the 2017 South Dakota Wrestling Coaches Association State Youth Wrestling Tournament in Rapid City on Friday, March 24th, and Saturday, March 25th. Twenty-one of those 27 wrestlers placed in the tournament over the weekend, including four state champions and two runner-ups.

- Brechen Frederick – placed 2nd in the Bantam 70 division
- Ryan Stubbe – placed 7th in the Midget 63 division (under Legends of Gold)
- Connor Hanson – placed 7th in the Midgets 72 division
- Tanner Baatz – placed 4th in the Midgets 134 division
- Damiyen Artz – wrestled in the Novice 64 division
- John Mortrude – placed 2nd in the Novice 68 division
- Carson Roach – placed 7th in the Novice 77 division (under Legends of Gold)
- Mason Stubbe – placed 3rd in the Novice 82 division (under Legends of Gold)
