The De Smet Bulldogs cruised to a straight set win over the Deuel Cardinals at home on Tuesday, September 10th. De Smet won by scores of 25-13, 25-13, and 25-13.
In all three sets, the Bulldogs got off to a quick start and used the momentum to take the win. In the first set, De Smet started with a 6-0 run. They extended the lead to 18-10 and then finished the first set on a 7-3 run for the 25-13 win. The second set started with an 8-0 run by the Bulldogs. The lead grew to 20-11 before the 25-13 win. Deuel had a 3-2 lead to start the third set, but De Smet responded with a 6-1 run to go ahead 8-4 and then extended that lead to 16-9. The Bulldogs pushed the lead to double digits, 22-12, before winning the third set 25-13.
