De Smet Girls Fall at Home to Hamlin

The De Smet Bulldogs hosted the Hamlin Chargers on Tuesday, January 16th.  Hamlin built an early lead and took the win 63-40.

The Chargers got ahead by 12 points, 20-8, by the end of the first quarter.  De Smet played within two points of Hamlin in the second quarter, and the Chargers led 33-19 at halftime.  The Bulldogs played step-for-step with Hamlin in the third quarter and trailed 50-35 going into the fourth quarter.  The Chargers held De Smet to just five points in the final quarter.

Hazel Luethmers had 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Mirra Beck had nine points and two rebounds.  Megan Dylla added five points and four rebounds.  Ivey Schoenfelder had four points and three rebounds.  Brooke Jennings had three points and four rebounds.
