The De Smet Bulldog track teams competed in the Dakota Valley Conference meet in Elkton on Thursday, May 11th. The girls team placed fifth with 63 points. The boys team was sixth with 55 points.
Jada Burke was second in the high jump. The 4x800m relay team of Adalyn Gross, Bella Wilkinson, Megan Dylla, and Aubree Blue finished third. Mira Beck was third in the high jump, fourth in the 100m hurdles, and fifth in the 300m hurdles. Wilkinson took fifth in the 1600m run. The 4x200m relay team of Julie Anderson, Emma Albrecht, Alyssa Asleson, and Beck place fifth. The sprint medley relay team of Anderson, Albrecht, Hazel Luethmers, and Adalyn Gross also finished fifth.
Damon Wilkinson placed second in the shot put. George Jensen took third in the triple jump. Ganon Henrich placed fourth in the 200m dash. Britt Carlson took fourth in the long jump. The 4x200m relay team of Henrich, Carlson, Kadyn Fast, and Trace VanRegenmorter finished fourth. VanRegenmorter took fifth in the 110m hurdles. The 4x100m relay team of Henrich, Tom Aughenbaugh, Fast, and VanRegenmorter finished fifth.
