The De Smet Bulldog track team took part in the LCC Championships at Hamlin High School on Tuesday, May 9th. The boys team placed third with 99 points. The girls team had a seventh place finish with 65.83 points.
The 4x200m relay team of Julie Anderson, Emma Albrecht, Alyssa Asleson, and Mira Beck finished second. Beck took third in the 300m hurdles and fourth in the 100m hurdles. Jada Burke was third in the high jump. The 4x800m relay team of Adalyn Gross, Bella Wilkinson, Megan Dylla, and Aubree Blue finished third. Addelyn Jensen placed fifth in the 400m dash. Ivey Schoenfelder took fourth in the shot put. The 4x100m relay team of Anderson, Albrecht, Asleson, and Hazel Luethmers placed fourth. The sprint medley relay team of Anderson, Albrecht, Asleson, and Gross also finished fourth.
Damon Wilkinson won both the shot put and discus. Kadyn Fast took second in the long jump and triple jump. Trace VanRegenmorter placed third in the 110m hurdles. Samuel Gigov was third in the shot put. George Jensen placed third in the high jump, third in the triple jump, and fourth in the long jump. The 4x100m relay team of Ganon Henrich, Tom Aughenbaugh, Fast, and VanRegenmorter finished fourth. The 4x200m relay team of Henrich, Britt Carlson, Fast, and VanRegenmorter also placed fourth.
