A year after finishing fourth at the State B tournament with an overall record of 18-8, the St Mary Cardinal girls basketball team will have a new head coach. Alan Hough will take over the program in the 2025-2026 season.
The roster for the Cardinals will be different this year as well. St Mary graduated five seniors from a year ago, and this year’s team will be without one of their seniors due to injury. Seniors Lucy Vargas, Stephenie, and Madelyn Klein will help lead the team on the court. They will be joined by juniors Reagan Griffin, Sophia McNaughton, and Emersyn Herber, and returning starter Maddyn LeBrun.
The Cardinals start the season at Howard on Friday, December 12th. Their first home game will be on Monday, December 22nd against De Smet.
