The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal volleyball team captured a win over the Estelline/Hendricks Readhawks on Tuesday, August 23rd. The Cardinals took the match in four sets. The win snapped a six-match losing streak to the Redhawks going back to 2021.
The match was close through the first three sets. St Mary won the first set, but needed extra time to do so. They won 28-26. The Cardinals took the close second set by a score of 25-22. The Redhawks kept the match going after winning the third set by a score of 27-25. St Mary rebounded and cruised to a 25-16 victory to win the match.
Megan Geraets finished with 15 kills. Brianna Griffin had 13 kills in the match. Emy Herber and Stephenie had eight kills each, and Harper Werdel had six kills. S. Geraets also had three set assists. Madala Hanson finished with 45 set assists. Jodie Klein had 10 digs. Jenna Miller and Reagan Griffin had six digs apiece.
