The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal track teams had a great day at the Region 3B meet in Bridgewater on Wednesday, May 17th. The girls team finished third in the region.
The sprint medley relay team of Brianna Griffin, Emersyn Herber, Josie Baumberger, and Cami Wolles finished as region champs. Wolles placed second in the 1600m run. Elizabeth Vogel finished second in the 3200m run. Jaycee Tebay took second in the discus. The 4x100m relay team of B. Griffin, Herber, Ella Griffin, and Madala Hanson placed second. The 4x200m relay team of E. Griffin, Maya Heinitz, Addison Libis, and Hanson also finished second. Libis was third in the 300m hurdles. Reagan Griffin was third in the triple jump.
Gabriel Lindeman finished as the region champ in the discus with a throw of 147’4″ throw that also set a school record. The 4x400m relay team of Nic Gaspar Lincoln LeBrun, Logan Bauer, and Lucas Flemmer finished second. Gaspar also placed third in the high jump. The 4x200m relay team of Lindeman, Bauer, LeBrun, and Flemmer placed third.
