The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal girls and boys track team competed in the Quarrier Invite on Monday, May 8th. The girls team finished seventh with 44 points. The boys team placed ninth with 24 points. Another school record was also broken at the meet.
Madala Hanson placed second in the 200m dash. The sprint medley relay team of Hanson, Brianna Griffin, Maya Heinitz, and Elizabeth Vogel took second. Vogel was third in the 3200m run. Jaycee Tebay finished third in the discus. Cami Wolles placed fourth in the 1600m run. Addison Libis was fourth in the 300m hurdles. B. Griffin was fifth in the 100m dash and 200m dash. Emersyn Herber took fifth in the 400m dash, and Lucy Vargas was fifth in the 3200m run.
Lucus Flemmer won the 200m dash. Gabriel LIndeman had a second place finish in the discus and a fourth place finish in the javelin. Camden Tebay placed fifth in the 3200m run.
Lindeman’s javelin throw of 129’9″ broke the school record he set earlier in the year.
