The Dell Rapids St Mary volleyball team traveled to Arlington for a match on Thursday, September 22nd. Arlington took the match in the battle of the Cardinals in four close sets.
Arlington opened the match with a first set win at 25-21. They won the second set as well by a score of 25-22. St Mary took the win the third set by just two points, 25-23. Arlington, however, won the fourth set 25-20 to win the match.
Ella Griffin finished with 19 kills, nine digs, and an ace serve. Maya Heinitz had 15 kills and 23 digs. Brianna Griffin added 11 kills, three digs, three ace serves, a block, and a set assist. Brianna Lindeman finished with 38 set assists and 15 digs. Josie Baumberger had 10 digs. Madala Hanson added eight digs, five set assists, and two ace serves.
St Mary will be back at home on Monday, September 26th when they host Hills-Beaver Creek.
