St Mary Evens Record with Win over Hills-Beaver Creek

The St Mary Cardinal volleyball team evened their record to 6-6 with a straight set win over the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots on Monday, September 26th.

The Cardinals opened the match on fire and built a 9-1 lead in the first set.  They ended the first set with a 25-6 win.  The Patriots scored the first three points of the second set, but their lead was short lived.  The Cardinals slowly started to build a lead and went ahead 16-9.  Hills-Beaver Creek got within three points, 18-15, before St Mary went on a 7-0 run to win the set 25-15.  St Mary raced to a 7-0 lead to start the third set which put them in control.  The Cardinals won the third set 25-13.

Ella Griffin finished with seven kills and three digs.  Brianna Griffin had six kills and three ace serves.  Maya Heinitz added three kills, four digs, and four ace serves.  Brianna LIndeman had 17 set assists, nine ace serves, four digs, and three kills.  Megan Geraets had two kills and two blocks.  Jaycee Tebay finished with three blocks.  Josie Baumberger had five digs and four aces.  Madala Hanson had six digs, and Whitney Warwick finished with four digs.
