The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal competitive cheer team was in Brookings for the Brookings Invite on Saturday, September 17th. Nineteen teams preformed at the invite. Six of the teams were from Class A and the rest were from Class AA.
The Cardinals finished eighth overall with a total of 221.5 points. That score was second best among the Class A teams. Only Sioux Valley finished better, second overall, with 266.5 points. Sioux Falls Jefferson was first overall with 278 points, and Brookings was third with 263 points.
St Mary will perform again at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls on Saturday, October 1st.
