In their final performance before the state competition, the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal Competitive took first place at the Lake Preston Cheer Invitational on Monday, October 17th.
The Cardinals finished with 140 points to earn the top spot. Elkton-Lake Benton finished second with 126.75 points. Iroquois-Lake Preston was third with 123.5 points. Deubrook Area (123.25) was fourth, and Faulkton Area (118.5) placed fifth.
St Mary will now compete at the 2022 South Dakota Class A State Competitive Cheer Competition on Friday, October 21st in Watertown.
