The Dell Rapids High School Espresso Choir spent the day spreading Christmas cheer around Dell Rapids on Monday, December 19th. The choir hopped on the bus at 8:30 to go to the Dell Rapids Elementary School for the first performance of the day.
After performing for all the classes at the elementary school, the choir set out on foot and performed at Orchard Hills, Pizza Ranch, Subway, Great Western Bank, Dairy Queen, T&C’s, Landmark Realty, Next Generation Childcare, Casey’s, Family Dollar, Dells Auto, Wells Fargo, First National Bank, LaDelle and Fourth Coffeehouse, Blooms on Main, El Tapatio, Goldenwest, Roemen’s Automotive, and Schwebach Realty throughout the morning and afternoon.
Director Robert Michalscheck said, “My only regret is that we ran out of time as there were so many more places we wanted to stop at, but only had so much time in the seven hours we were out. Last year we started with just signing at the elementary school for all the classes, but this year I wanted to outreach to our community that supports our school as a small way of giving back. We hope to make this a yearly tradition!”
The Espresso Choir meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:45 a.m.
