After three hard-fought sets, the Canistota Hawks won the match over the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals in the fourth set on Thursday, September 6th at Dell Rapids St Mary High School. The Hawks won by set scores of 25-21, 26-24, 23-25, 25-9.
Maddie Schwebach led the team with 11 kills on the night. Veronica Beck had eight kills. Tyra Harrington and Cassie Mullaney both had five kills each. Ella Heinitz finished with 30 set assists. Defensively for St Mary, Carly Maxwell had 14 digs. Courtney Brown had four digs, and Schwebach had three digs. Mullaney added three blocks, while Schwebach and Harrington both had two blocks each. Macie Brown added two ace serves in the match.
The Cardinals (3-5) will host the Flandreau Indian School on Tuesday, September 11th.
