Rallies Fall Short for Watchdog Volleyball

The Beresford Watchdogs travelled to Lennox for a match on Tuesday, October 1st.  Despite some rallies by the Watchdogs, the Orioles won in straight sets by scores of 25-19, 25-18, and 25-14.

The opening set started with a 3-3 tie.  Lennox would then take a 7-5 lead and slowly grow it to a 14-7 advantage.  Beresford rallied to cut the lead to one point, 15-14.  The Orioles scored the next three points for an 18-14 score.  The Watchdogs got back within two points, 20-18, but Lennox finished the set on a 5-1 run for the 25-19 win.

The Orioles started quickly in the second set with a 6-0 run.  Beresford battled hard most of the set and finally got the lead down to one point, 18-17.  Lennox, however, would stop the rally with a 7-1 run to take the set 25-18.  The Orioles started the third set with a 5-2 lead and stayed in front by about three points to 11-8.  They would then pull away from Beresford the rest of the way, extended the lead to 21-12 before winning 25-14.
