The Beresford Watchdog volleyball team traveled to Elk Point to play the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies on Thursday, September 26th. The Huskies won the match in straight sets by scores of 25-15, 25-12, and 25-11.
The first set started with a 3-3 tie. Elk Point-Jefferson then went on a 4-0 run for a 7-3 lead. They slowly grew the lead throughout the set. The Huskies went ahead 13-5 and then 21-12 before winning 25-15. The Watchdogs took a 3-0 lead to start the second set. The Huskies responded with a 10-1 run for a 10-4 lead. They pushed the lead to 20-9 before taking the second set 25-12. The Watchdogs again started the third set with a 2-1 lead. Beresford led again 7-5, but the Huskies went on a 7-0 run for a 12-7 lead. They extended the lead to 19-8 and then won 25-11.
