The Beresford Watchdogs finished with an even 2-2 record in four matches at the Bon Homme Tournament held on Saturday, September 21st.
The first match was against the Parkston Trojans. The Trojans would win the match in straight sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-16. Beresford would bounce back with a straight set win over the Avon Pirates. The Watchdogs won by scores of 25-23 and 25-19.
The next match would be against the Platte-Geddes Black Panthers. The Black Panthers took the first set in extra points by a score of 26-24. Beresford forced a third set after a 25-17 win in the second set. The third set was an exciting one that also needed extra points. The Watchdogs won the thriller with a score of 31-29. The final match was against the host team, the Bon Homme Cavaliers. The Cavaliers took the first set 25-21. Beresford was able to even the match after a 25-23 win in the second set. Bon Homme, however, won the match with a 25-18 win in the third set.
