River Dawgs Season Ends in District 4B Tournament

The season game to an end for the Baltic River Dawgs in the District 4B Tournament in Humboldt.  Baltic suffered a loss to the Flandreau Cardinals on Saturday, July 25th and then to the Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks on Sunday, July 26th.

Flandreau Cardinals 12, Baltic 2

The River Dawgs scored two times in the top of the second for a 2-0 lead, but it was all Flandreau after that point.  The Cardinals scored three times in the bottom of the second and another in the third for a 4-2 lead.  They added three more in the fifth.  In the bottom of the seventh, the Cardinals scored two times.  Flandreau ended the game on the 10-run rule with three more runs in the bottom of the eighth.

Noah Swartwout had a single with an RBI.  Kooper Perry had a double.  Carter Sorenson, Noah Hammond, and Braxten Allen all had one hit each.  Tate Feucht had an RBI.

Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks 12, Baltic 2

The Gamecocks scored seven runs in the first two innings and never looked back on Sunday.  Baltic got a run in the top of the fourth for a 7-1 score.  Humboldt/Hartford responded with four in the bottom of the inning to extend the lead to 11-1.  Each team scored a run in the sixth.  The game ended on the 10-run rule after the top of the seventh.

Sael Swanson had a double.  Sorenson ended with a single and an RBI.  Jon Wilhelmsen and Swarwout both had a single.  Colbe Scott added an RBI.
