Baltic Baseball Wins Second Straight

The Baltic high school baseball team won their second straight game on Monday, April 13th.  They earned a 13-5 road win over Garretson.

After a scoreless first inning, Baltic plated four runs in the top of the second.  Garretson cut the lead in half, 4-2, with two runs in the bottom of the third.  Baltic pushed the lead back to four runs, 6-2, with two runs in the top of the fourth.

The last two innings were full of offense for both teams.  Baltic had a three-run top of the sixth to make the score 9-2.  Garretson scored two more in the bottom of the inning.  Baltic had another four-run inning in the top of the seventh to increase the lead to 13-4.  Garretson scored one time in the bottom of the seventh.

Isaac Oakley had two hits and four RBIs.  Jackson Goehring had two singles with two RBIs.  Eias Oakley added a triple and had four RBIs.  Zach Helgeson had a hit and an RBI, and Aaron Nordbye had a double.

I. Oakley pitched four innings and allowed two unearned runs on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts.  Laken Kortemeyer tossed two innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on two hits and two walks with four strikeouts.  Nordbye threw an inning and struck out one batter.
