Baltic Track Has Several Top Five Finishes in Garretson

The Baltic Bulldogs track team competed at the Jesse James Track Meet in Garretson on Friday, April 10th, turning in a strong performance with several top-five finishes across both the boys and girls divisions.

On the boys side, the Bulldogs were led by Dylan Runestad, who captured first place in the 400m dash with a time of :51.35. In the sprints, Henry Anderson placed fourth in the 200m dash in :24.59.

Baltic found great success in the relay events. The 4x200m relay team of Ben Berg, Dylan Runestad, Jax Vrchota, and Henry Anderson claimed first place with a time of 1:33.86. The 4x400m relay team of Berg, Vrchota, Kellen Artz, and Runestad also took first in 3:32.66.

In the hurdles, Ben Berg earned a third-place finish in the 300m hurdles with a time of :43.60, while Bryce Campbell placed fourth in :44.53.

The Bulldogs also had strong performances in the field events. Gavin Miller won the triple jump with a leap of 39’8.75″. Ben Berg added a first-place finish in the long jump at 20’3.5″, while Jax Vrchota placed third at 18’10″. In the javelin, Trevor Cuperus finished fourth with a throw of 114’4″, and Dinh Phan placed fifth at 108’4″.

For the girls, the Bulldogs were highlighted by their relay success. The 4x200m relay team of Kate Bouman, Emma Albright, Hailey Tiahrt, and Alexis Kehn placed second with a time of 1:54.15. The sprint medley relay team of Bouman, Marley Lambert, Hailey Tiahrt, and Alexis Kehn also took second in 4:41.60.

In the distance events, Meredith Larson placed fifth in the 3200m run with a time of 15:17.21.
