Baltic scored three times in the top of the ninth to earn an 11-8 extra-inning win over Dell Rapids on Monday, June 16th.
Dell Rapids scored the first two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Each team scored a run in the second inning, and Dell Rapids led 3-1. Baltic had a five-run third inning to take a 6-3 advantage. Dell Rapids would get single runs in the third, fourth, and fifth innings to tie the game 6-6. Baltic went ahead with a run in the top of the sixth. Dell Rapids tied the game with a run in the bottom of the seventh to send the game into extra innings. Both teams scored a run in the eighth inning. Baltic then rallied for three in the top of the ninth to take the win.
Elias Oakley had two hits, including a triple, and two RBIs. Jackson Goehring had two singles with an RBI. Joey Grunewaldt also had two hits. Gavin Skotvold had a hit with two RBIs. Gavin Postma and AJ Grunewaldt both had one hit each. Skotvold pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits and a walk with seven strikeouts. Oakley pitched three innings and allowed four earned runs on four hits and five walks with five strikeouts.
