Baltic scored two times in the top of the seventh but fell one run short, 4-3, to Dell Rapids on Monday, April 28th.
Dell Rapids scored two runs right away in the bottom of the first inning. The score remained 2-0 until the top of the third. Braxten Allen had an RBI single to make the score 2-1. Dell Rapids added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth to extend the lead to 4-1.
The score stood at 4-1 until the top of the seventh. Gavin Skotvold had an RBI double with no outs to cut the lead to 4-2. After a strikeout and groundout, Elias Oakley had an RBI double to make the score 4-3. With the tying run on second with two outs, the game ended on a groundout to third base.
Oakley had two doubles and an RBI. Jackson Goehring had two singles. Skotvold added a double with an RBI. Allen finished with a single and an RBI. Ryder Siemonsma also had a hit. Oakley pitched four innings and allowed four earned runs on four hits and five walks with five strikeouts. Allen pitched two innings without allowing a hit or walk with two strikeouts.
