The Baltic 17U team split a double header with Gregory on Saturday, July 12th. Baltic won the first game, and Gregory took the second one.
Baltic 9, Gregory 5
A big fourth inning helped Baltic to the win in the first game. Baltic scored two times in the top of the first inning. Gregory got a run back in the bottom of the second. Baltic added another run in the top of the third for a 3-1 lead. They then plated six runs in the top of the fourth to extend the lead to 9-1. Gregory got two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings, but the rally fell short.
Gavin Skotvold had three hits and three RBIs. Isaac Oakley added a double with an RBI. AJ Grunewaldt and Zachary Helgeson each had a hit. Skotvold pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on three hits and three walks with three strikeouts. Joyey Grunewaldt pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on four hits with one strikeout.
Gregory 9, Baltic 0
Baltic was held to just four hits in the second game while being shut out 8-0. Gregory scored in every inning. They scored three in the first, one in the second, two more in the third, and then finally two runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Jackson Goehring had two hits. AJ Grunewaldt had a double, and Brody Hansen had a single. J. Grunewaldt pitched an inning and allowed three unearned runs on a walk and one strikeout. AJ Grunewaldt threw an inning and allowed three runs, two earned, on a hit and walk with two strikeouts. Oakley pitched two innings and allowed two unearned runs on a hit and three walks with two strikeouts.
