The Baltic Bulldog track team traveled to Mitchell on Tuesday, April 1st for the Dakota Wesleyan University Indoor meet. This was the second straight indoor meet for the Bulldogs to start the season.
Daynica Witzel won the triple jump with a leap of 33’5″. She also placed fifth in the long jump with a jump of 15’8.5″. Maiya Fredrickson took third in the shot put with a throw of 36’0.75″. Hailey Tiahrt had a third-place finish in the 800m run with a time of 2:29.02. Tenley Witzel placed 10th in the 400m dash with a time of 1:06.39. The 4x800m relay team of Alexis Kehn, T. Witzel, Anna Hoekman, and Tiahrt finished fifth with a time of 11:09.08. The 4x400m relay team of T. Wtizel, Kehn, Kaylee Siemonsma, and Tiahrt was eighth in a time of 4:28.88.
Kellen Artz took second in the high jump with a jump of 6’4″. Dylan Runestand placed fourth in the 400m dash in a time of :54.07. Ben Berg finished fifth in the 60m hurdles (:09.39) and seventh in the 400m dash (:55.82). Cooper Garry was sixth in the 1600m run in 4:55.08. Henry Anderson was seventh in the 60m dash in :07.40. Gavin Miller was ninth in the triple jump with a jump of 38.0″. Ben Erickson had ninth-place finish in the 800m run with a time of 2:13.03. Braxten Allen was 10th in the long jump at 19’1.75″. The 4x800m relay team of Erickson, Garry, Runestad, and Tyler Ochsner finished third in 9:13.95. The 4x400m relay team of Runestad, Erickson, Berg, and Garry took fifth with a time of 3:47.89.
