Baltic Boys Win Final Regular Season Home Game

The Baltic Bulldog boys basketball team won their final regular season home game against the Tri-Valley Mustangs on Monday, February 24th.  Baltic overcame a slow start and took the win 65-41.

Tri-Valley had the lead for most of the first half.  The Mustangs led 16-13 at the end of the first quarter.  They scored the first two points of the second quarter for an 18-13 advantage.  Baltic then finished the half on a 17-3 run for a 30-21 halftime lead.  The Bulldogs continued their run in the second half.  Baltic outscored Tri-Valley 19-10 in the third quarter and led 49-31 going into the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs shot 51% (26-51) overall in the game, 35% (8-23) from three-point area, and 5-7 from the free-throw line.  Tri-Valley shot 33% (17-52) overall, 22% (6-27) on three-point shots, and 1-2 from the free-throw line.

Four players finished in double figures for the Bulldogs.  Kellen Artz had 25 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.  Trevor Cuperus added 14 points and four rebounds.  Ben Erickson had 10 points, 12 assists, and five rebounds.  Benjamin Berg also had 10 points with six rebounds.
