The Baltic Bulldog girls were within striking distance after the first two quarters, but the Lennox Orioles used a big second half to get a 65-28 win on Thursday, February 6th.
Lennox started the game with a 7-2 lead. Baltic followed with a 5-0 run to tie the game 7-7. The Orioles finished the first quarter with back-to-back three-point shots for a 13-7 lead. The Bulldogs were within seven points, 20-13, with 3:00 to go in the second quarter. Lennox finished the half with a 28-15 lead. The Orioles then outscored Baltic 26-9 in the third quarter to take a 54-24 lead into the fourth quarter.
Baltic shot 29% (10-35) overall in the game, 23% (3-13) from three-point area, and 39% (5-13) from the free-throw line. Lennox finished the game shooting 44% (26-59) overall, 44% (8-18) on three-point shots, and 50% (5-10) from the free-throw line.
Harper Kortemeyer finished with 10 points and six assists. Caitlyn Pickett had nine points and five rebounds. Meredith Larson added five points, two rebounds, and two assists. Kate Bouman had three points.
