The Baltic Bulldog boys held off a tough Colman-Egan team to earn a 52-49 win on Friday, January 3rd.
The Hawks had the lead in the first quarter and led 12-8 at quarter’s end. Baltic rallied in the second quarter and took a one-point lead into halftime, 20-19. The Bulldogs continued to use the momentum in the third quarter and extended their lead to 36-29 by the end of the quarter. The lead grew to 46-36 for the Bulldogs with 4:05 to play in the game. Colman-Egan chipped away at the lead, but ran out of time to complete the comeback.
Three players finished in double figures. Dylan Runestad had 14 points and three rebounds. Ben Erickson added 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Trevor Cuperus had 10 points and five rebonds. Kellen Artz ended with nine points and 12 rebounds. Cooper Garry had eight points, two rebounds, and two assists.
