The Baltic Bulldogs hosted the Flandreau Fliers in the opening round of the Region 3A tournament on Tuesday, November 5th. The Bulldogs cruised to a straight set win by scores of 25-8, 25-14, and 25-10. The win was the 14th straight match win for Baltic.
The Bulldogs started the match with a 12-0 run in the opening set. They extended their lead to 19-5 before winning the first set 25-8. After an early 1-1 score to start the second set, the Bulldogs took a 6-3 lead. The Fliers stayed within three points at 9-6, but Baltic then went on a run. They extended their lead to 19-11 and then 21-12 on their way to the 25-14 win. Another fast start put Baltic in front to start the third set. The Bulldogs started with a 9-1 run and continued to dominate to a 17-3 score. Baltic extended the lead to 23-10 before scoring the final two points of the match.
The Bulldogs will host the Garretson Blue Dragons on Thursday, November 7th in a SoDak 16 Qualifying match.
