Bulldogs Win Final Regular Season Home Match

The Baltic Bulldog volleyball team hosted the Lennox Orioles for their final regular season home match on Friday, October 24th.  The Bulldogs won in straight sets by scores of 25-8, 25-23, and 25-22.  The win extended the Baltic winning streak to 11 straight matches.  During the winning streak, the Bulldogs have only lost one set.

Baltic started the first set with a quick 6-2 lead.  They cruised the first set as they extended the lead to 12-3 then to 21-5 before winning 25-8.  The Bulldogs took an early 4-2 lead to start the second set, but this set was not as easy as the first one.  Baltic was able to add to the lead to a 14-7 score.  Lennox cut the lead to 15-12 and then eventually tied the score 20-20.  Baltic went on a 4-2 run to take a 24-22 lead and held for a 25-23 win.

The Bulldogs took an early 2-0 lead to start the third quarter.  After Lennox cut the lead to 4-3, Baltic extended the lead to 9-4 and then to 13-5.  The Orioles went on a 5-0 run to cut the lead to 13-10.  The Bulldogs maintained a three-point lead to an 18-15 score.  Lennox would then pull within a point, 20-19, and eventually tie the score 21-21.  The teams traded points to a 22-22 tie, but the Bulldogs scored the final three points for the win.
