The Baltic Bulldog volleyball team won their fifth straight match, fourth in a row on the road, on Tuesday, September 26th. The Bulldogs defeated the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinals in straight sets by scores of 25-16, 25-13, and 25-10.
Baltic took a 7-1 lead to start the first set. St Mary cut the lead to 8-5. The Bulldogs continued to lead 14-10 before going on a 6-2 run for a 20-12 advantage. The lead grew to 24-14 before the 25-16 win.
The Bulldogs started the second set on a 5-2 run and continued to lead by three or four points to a 10-6 score. Baltic then scored four in a row to push the lead to 14-6. The lead grew to 10 points, 18-8 and 20-10, and then Baltc went on to win 25-13.
The two teams were tied 6-6 early in the third set, but Baltic went on n 11-1 run for a 17-7 lead. The Bulldogs continued to lead 19-9 before finishing the set on a 6-1 run.
