Both the girls and boys Baltic Bulldog track teams placed fifth at the Region 3A track meet in Hartford on Thursday, May 18th. The girls team tied with McCook Central/Montrose with 68 points. The boys team had 81.5 points.
Daynica Witzel placed second in the triple jump and third in the long jump. The sprint medley relay team of D. Witzel, Claire Berg, Ava Tiahrt, and Hailey Tiahrt took second place. Maiya Fredrickson finished third in the discus and fourth in the shot put. The 4x200m relay team of A. Tiahrt, Berg, Tenley Witzel, and H. Tiahrt finished third. The 4x400m relay team of A. Tiahrt, Berg, T. Witzel, and H. Tiart also placed third. Addison Geigle had a fourth place finish in the 100m hurdles. The 4x800m relay team of Sadey Holt, H. Tiahrt, Meredith Larson, and T. Witzel finished fourth.
Isaac Weeman had a third place finish in both the shot put and discus. Alex Langner finished third in the 800m run. Kellan Artz took third in the high jump. John Gronewold placed fourth in both the 1600m run and 3200m run. Jackson Goehring was fourth in the high jump. The 4x400m relay team of Shae Fiala, Jackson Westerbur, Payton Anderson, and Dylan Runestad took fourth. The 4x800m relay team of J. Gronewold, Mark Ditter, Langner, and Kyle Gronewold also placed fourth.
