Baltic Baseball Survives Rally by Flandreau

The Baltic high school club baseball team survived a rally by Flandreau for an 11-6 win on Monday, May 8th.

Baltic got four runs in the bottom of the second inning to start the scoring.  Matt Muston had an RBI single.  Tate Feucht followed with an RBI double.  Muston scored on a passed ball, and Feucht scored on a wild pitch for a 4-0 lead.  Feucht drove home another run with a single in the bottom of the third.  The lead grew to 6-0 for Baltic after Beau Breace had an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth.

Flandreau put together a rally in the fifth and sixth innings.  They scored four times in the top of the fifth to cut the lead to 6-4.  Flandreau would tie the game, 6-6, with two runs in the top of the sixth.  Baltic regrouped and put together a five-run bottom of the sixth inning.  Breace had a two-run single. Gunner Schultz had a two-run triple, and Muston delivered an RBI single.

Tayden Hansen had three hits, including two doubles.  Breace had two singles and three RBIs.  G. Schultz finished with two hits, one a triple, and two RBIs.  Feucht had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.  Muston also had two singles and two RBIs.  Beau Keith added two singles.  Braxton Allen finished with one hit.  Feucht pitched four innings and allowed just one hit and three walks with six strikeouts.  Keith pitched two innings and allowed six earned runs on two hits and five walks with three strikeouts.  Allen pitched one innings and allowed a hit and two walks.
