Cubs Football Improves to 6-0

The Alcester-Hudson Cubs remained undefeated and improved to 6-0 after a 46-0 win at home against the Gayville-Volin Raiders.

The Cubs scored 22 points in the first quarter.  Jose Lopez had a two-yard touchdown run with 9:20 in the quarter.  Dominic Egdom had an interception and returned it for a touchdown with 7:32 left on the clock.  Evan Brown added a 56-yard touchdown run with 4:56.  The Cubs converted two of three two-point conversions for a 22-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Mateo Kleinhans had a 23-yard touchdown pass to Ethan Bovill with 6:48 to play in the first half.  Brown added a 61-yard touchdown run with 2:00 to go, and then Kleinhans had a 33-yard touchdown pass to William Hallaway with 1:12 left.  The Cubs made all three two-point conversions and led 46-0 at halftime.

Alcester-Hudson finished with 345 yards of total offense, 270 rushing yards and 75 passing yards.  The Raiders had 144 yards of offense, 82 rushing yards and 62 passing yards.

Kleinhans finished 3-5 passing for 56 yards and two touchdowns.  Tommy Walth was 1-3 passing for 19 yards.  Hallaway had a catch for 33 yards and a touchdown.  Bovill had a catch for 23 yards and a touchdown, and Jayce Jund had a catch for 19 yards.  Brown led the ground attack with seven carries for 197 yards and two touchdowns.  Walth had eight carries for 40 yards.  Lopez finished with seven carries for 15 yards and a touchdown.

Bovill had 3.5 tackles and an interception.  Lopez also had 3.5 tackles.  Walth finished with three tackles.  Gavin Kroll added 2.5 tackles.  Egdom had two tackles and an interception.  Adam Moller, Jensen Christensen, and Darin Dykstra all had two tackles each.
