The Dell Rapids School Board voted and approved the last day of school to now be on Wednesday, May 15th, during their regular school board meeting on Monday, April 22nd. The students will dismiss school for the summer at 1:00 p.m on that day. The additional days were added to the 2012-2013 calendar due to recent snow days during the recent snow storms in April. The board also voted that if any more school days were missed due to weather, those additional days would not be made up by the students, however, the teachers would be required to make up those days.
Also during the meeting, the school board members were presented with certificates of appreciation from the FFA, and the board approved the 2013-2014 food service contract renewal with Lunchtime Solutions, Inc.
