The Tri-Valley Mustang wrestling team placed third at the Jesse Jame Invitational in Garretson on Saturday, January 8th. Tri-Valley had a total of 128 points. Chamberlain placed first with 153 points, and Elk Point-Jefferson finished one point better than the Mustangs, 129, for second place.
The Mustangs had two champions and three finished second. Cole Hendrixson won the 106-pound class with a 3-0 record. Isaac Nehlich won the 220-pound division also with a 3-0 record. Treyson Richter (113-pound) finished second with a 2-1 record. Brody Dybvig was second in the 126-pound class at 2-1. Mason Hendrixson also placed second in the 170-pound class with a 2-1 record.
Lawson Loiseau had a third place finish in the 138-pound division with a 3-1 record. Landyn Reiser was fourth in the 145-pound class with a 2-2 record. Zach Powell (152-pound), Javier Mendoza (160-pound), and Luke Nehlich (195-pound) all finished 1-2. Xavier Yount (170-pound) was 0-2 on the day.
Tri-Valley will be at West Central High School for a Dak-12 quadrangular on Tuesday, January 11th.
