The Dell Rapid St Mary Cardinals won their third match in a row, and fourth out of their last five, after a hard-fought battle with the Howard Tigers on Tuesday, September 18th in Howard. The Cardinals won the five-set match by scores of 27-29, 25-23, 14-25, 25-21, 15-13.
Three players finished in double figures in kills led by Cassie Mullaney and Veronica Beck with 16 kills each. Maddie Schwebach had 13 kills. Ella Heinitz had 20 set assists, and Paige Bunkers added 10 set assists.
Defensively for St Mary, Schwebach had three blocks and Mullaney added two blocks. Macie Brown led the team with 23 digs. Carly Maxwell added 20 digs.
The Cardinals (6-5) will hit the road again on Thursday, September 20th when the travel to Elkton to play the Elkton-Lake Benton Elks.
