The Dell Rapids Quarrier boys golf team traveled to Bakker’s Crossing Golf Course on Monday, September 17th for the Dak-12 Conference Tournament. The Quarriers finished 7th as a team. Vermillion took home the team title. Tea Area finished 2nd, and Madison placed 3rd as a team.
All six golfers for Dell Rapids had a solid day finishing under 100. Lucas Berg finished in the top 20 at 19th place with a round of 87. Karsen Welbig was one shot behind with an 88. Zach McKee carded an 89, while Brandon Kubly finished with a 90. Charlie Holm had a 94 on the day, and Brady Larson finished with a round of 99. Tea Area’s Brock Murphy won yet another tournament this year, and his third straight Dak-12 Conference individual title, with a round of 71.
The Quarriers will now focus their attention on the Region 1A Tournament which will be held on Monday, September 24th at Olive Grove Golf Course in Groton.
