The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal volleyball team won their third match of the season in a straight-set win over the Oldham-Ramona/Rutland Raiders on Tuesday, August 29th, in Rutland. The Cardinals won by set scores of 25-15, 25-10, 25-20.
The Cardinals served well from the line getting six aces from Cassie Mullaney and four aces from Rhiannon Glaizer. Ella Heinitz and Cassy Geraets led the team in kills and set assists. Heinitz and Geraets both finished with five kills. Heinitz had 14 set assists, while Geraets had 10 assists. Mullaney led the team with three blocks, and Adyn Heinricy finished with 20 digs defensively.
St Mary (3-3) will host Arlington in the battle of the Cardinals on Thursday, August 31st. The match can be seen on Big Sioux Media.
