Two Dell Rapids Quarrier girls golfers qualified for the state tournament after their rounds at the Region 1A tournament in Volga on Thursday, May 25th. Dell Rapids finished 6th as a team with a score of 433. Madison won the tournament with a team score of 377. Sisseton was 2nd with team total of 381, and McCook Central/Montrose placed 3rd with a team score of 423. The top three teams all qualified for state.
Kaitlyn Greenhoff qualified for state individually after placed 3rd with a round of 82. Olivia Downs also qualified for state by placing 12th with a round of 102. Paige Sterud finished with a 119. Sami Schmidt had a round of 120, and Mallory Haak ended the day with a 121.
Greenhoff and Downs will play in the State A golf tournament at Central Valley Golf Club in Hartford on June 5th and 6th.
