The Dell Rapids Quarrier volleyball team advanced to the semi-final round of the Region 3A Tournament with an opening-round win over the Flandreau Fliers on Tuesday, November 3rd, in Madison. The Quarriers won in straight sets by scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-13.
Mikaela Stofferahn, Trinity Gordon, and Emma Paul each had seven kills apiece in the match. Chole Solberg finished the night with five ace servies and 19 set assists. Gordon and Paul also anchored the Quarrier defense. Gordon had 16 digs, while Paul ended with 15. Sara Van Regenmorter led the team with four blocks at the night. Stofferahn and Gordon each had one.
Dell Rapids improves to 8-21 on the year. The Quarriers will play Sioux Falls Christian on Thursday, November 5th, at Sioux Falls Christian High School at 6:00 p.m.
