The Centerville Tornadoes defeated the Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal volleyball team in the Cardinal’s first home match of the season on Thursday, August 27th. Centerville won in three sets by scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-23.
Cassey Geraets and Kayla Scherff each had four service aces in the match. Kennedi Mullaney finished the night with five kills. Jackie Wolles and Sydney Cook each had four. Geraets also had nine set assists. Haley Michel anchored the defense with 18 digs, while Wolles finished with nine. 
The Cardinals as a team finished with nine aces, 20 kills, 12 assists, and 47 digs.
St Mary falls to 0-1 on the year and will travel to Estelline for the Estelline Tournament on Saturday, August 29th.
