The Dell Rapids baseball team is just two wins from a State B High School Club Baseball Championship.  Dell Rapids won two games in the Super Regional on Monday, June 1st in Milbank.

Dell Rapids opened up Regional play on May 27th with a 10-0 over Flandreau to advance to the Super Regional in Milbank on Monday, June 1st.  Dell Rapids won their first game of the Super Regional over Sioux Valley by a score of 5-1.  Trevor Pulscher pitched a one-hitter while striking out eight.  Josh Roemen had two hits in the game, and Dawson Kerzman drove in two runs.

That win advanced Dell Rapids to play Milbank later in the night.  Dell Rapids was able to avenge a 1-0 loss earlier in the season by beating Milbank 9-0 to advance to the State B Championship round.  Brett Mogen pitched seven innings giving up no runs on five hits while strike out four.  Mogen also collected two hits in the game.  Ryan Gareats added two hits for Dell Rapids, and Kerzman drove in three runs to give him a total of 5 RBI in the two games in Milbank.

Dell Rapids enters the State Championship round with a record of 16-2.  Their other loss was a 2-0 defeat to Madison in the first game of the year.

The four teams in the championship bracket are Dell Rapids, Vermillion, McCook Central and St Thomas More.  Dell Rapids defeated McCook Central 5-4 on April 24th.  They have not played the other two teams this year.

Dell Rapids will face Vermillion at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6th, at Ronken Field on the campus of Augustana University.  McCook Central vs St Thomas More will follow 20 minutes after the conclusion of the Dell Rapids vs Vermillion game.  The losers of the two games will play for 3rd place 20 minutes after the McCook Central/St Thomas More game.  The Championship game will start 20 minutes after the 3rd place game.
