The Dell Rapids St Mary Cardinal volleyball team defeated the Freeman Flyers 25-12, 25-9, 23-25, 25-20 on Monday, October 6th, in Freeman.
The Cardinals played an outstanding defensive game. Five players had double-figure digs in the match. Kaitlyn Vortherms anchored the defense with 28 digs. Ally Mullaney had 24 digs on the night. Claudia Schwebach added 18 digs, Nichole Brown notched 15, and Jackie Wolles had 13. Riley Wolles had three blocks on the night. Lindsey Wolles finished the match with 36 set assists. Mullaney tallied 17 kills and eight aces.
The Cardinals improve to 6-13 on the year. St Mary will host Deubrook Area on Thursday, October 9th.
