The Orioles seemed to have the moment early in the third quarter.  After forcing a Dell Rapids punt, Lennox scored on the ensuing drive on a 64-yard touchdown run by John Oldenkamp with 8:50 left in the quarter giving the Orioles a 21-20 lead.  Lennox extended their lead after Jacob Lackas scored on a 65-yard touchdown run with 5:25 in the third quarter.  Hemenway pulled Dell Rapids within one at 26-27 with 2:21 to go in the third quarter on a 3-yard touchdown run.

Dell Rapids had 365 yards of total offense, 351 of those yards rushing.  Lennox picked up 258 yards of offense, all on the ground.  The Quarriers were 5-8 on third down while Lennox was just 1-11.  Dell Rapids had three turnovers while Lennox finished the game with four.
