The Dell Rapids Quarrier golf team finished second in the Elk Point/Jefferson Invitational on Friday, September 19th. Vermillion won the event with a team score of 324. Dell Rapids finished with a 328, and Canton finished third with a score of 341.
Ty Hoglund placed first individually in the tournament with a round of 77. Devon Weber placed fifth after a round of 80. Adam Karst had an 85 and placed 12th. Jordan Kerns finished the day with an 86. Josh Parrott had an 87, and Mason Schmidt ended with a 91.
For the JV squad, Trevor Hanzlik had an 89 and placed 3rd, Pierce Schumacher finished in a tie for fifth with a round of 92, and Jace Blair shot a 95.
The Quarriers will play in the Dak-12 Conference Tournament held at Two Rivers Golf Course (Dakota Valley).
