Lunch today will be choices of:  Homestyle Chicken & Noodles or Country Fried Steak

  • Attention 7/8 graders:  Today is ORANGE day on your schedule
  • Are you interested in a career in law enforcement? The Minnehaha County Sherrif’s Office Explorers meets twice a month and provides hands on training in CPR, first aid, building searches, traffic stops and other areas of law enforcement. If you are interested, please talk to Ms. Telkamp or deputy Walker. This opportunity is for students 14 and older.
  • If you are interested in attending the SDSU women’s basketball summer camps, please stop in the office for information.
  • Attention 8th grade students:  DRHS Booster Club is offering a $50 athletic camp scholarship.  Forms are available in the office and are due before the end of the school year.
  • Volunteers are needed to help serve the meal at the National Honor Society Banquet which will be held on Tuesday, May 10, at the Lutheran Church.  You will need to be there at 6:15.  There is a sign-up sheet office.
  • If you would like to order flowers for Mother’s Day, check the posters for more details.  Orders and money need to be completed by the end of the day on Thursday.  Cost is 1 carnation in a vase for $3.oo or 3 carnations in a vase for $6.00.  Orders can be picked up at the end of the day on Friday.
  • Haven will be hosting a middle school dance on Friday in the commons.  Admission is $5.
    ** 5th and 6th grade dance is from 5:30 to 7:30
    ** 7th and 8th grade dance is from 7:30 to 9:30.
    ** It’s a beach theme, so dress up in your best, school appropriate, beach wear! ​
  • We will be having a middle school talent show on the last day of school! If you are interested in participating in the talent show or helping with it, please meet in the middle school commons during your advisory/ICU time on Thursday May 5 for more information.
  • Suckers and beef sticks will be sold after school today, at the north end of the commons area.  Cost is $1 each or 6 for $5 (any combination).
  • Congratulations to the varsity golfers at the Dells Invite yesterday!
  • Today is National Star Wars Day – May the Fourth be with you!!
  • May is Neurofibromatosis awareness month.  Please help raise awareness by wearing yellow every Thursday.

  • Congratulations to Ty Hoglund on being named 2016 Mr. Basketball for the state of South Dakota!  Ty was honored at a luncheon in Sioux Falls yesterday, and he is the first basketball player from Dell Rapids High School to win this prestigious award, which is sponsored by Hansen/Anderson Basketball.  Congratulations Ty!
