  • The 6th grade volleyball team lit the Chester gym on fire on Saturday at their end of season tournament.  Dells had two teams participate.  Dells 1 ended pool play with a 4-4 record.  Their final game was a barn burner, finding the score tied with their opponent 20-20.  No 2-point win rule in this tournament during pool play.  It looked like Dells was going to lose that final point but one of our players dove from out of nowhere to save the ball from hitting the ground and send it flying over the net, scoring the winning point.  So exciting!!!
  • Dells 2 saw their pool play end with a 6-2 record, which qualified them to play in the Gold Division bracket, which were the top four teams out of 21 total.  They were pitted against the Flandreau Fliers in the semi-finals and took the win 2 games to 0.  That sent them into the finals against Colman-Egan.  Holy Buckets that was a fun match to watch.  After leading in Game 1, our team lost 25-23.  Game 2 went our way with a score of 25-17.  Game 3 was a close game, which we led 13-10, but lost the heartbreaker 15-13.    Therefore, we took second place out of 21 teams.  Way to go, Girls!
