Svend Erik Jensen died on October 7, 2014 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born in 1922 to Marius and Thora Jensen on a farm near Trent, attended grade school in Trent and then attended and graduated from Egan High School.

He joined the U.S. Army and served for three years. He married Jean Erickson and lived in Sioux Falls for several years where he worked for the Post Office as mail carrier. They moved to Scottsdale, AZ where he continued his job as a mail carrier.

He is survived by his two children: Ginger Fissell and Tony Jensen; seven grandchildren and his sister: Alice Chamley of Dell Rapids. Svend was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, and parents, Marius and Thora.  Family graveside military service was held on October 17 in the Veteran’s cemetery, Phoenix.
